Answer 1 back in the * day* lol when dirt had been invented but we were still waiting on fire to be invented...... LOL we did tuck our pants in our boots, atleast in basic, until we were allowed to use ** blousing rubbers* and if i remember right You undo the boot as much as possible, you actually folded, with little folds, your pants over, but you put the socks over the pants, so that it held them in place, when the pants were folded over, in several small folds around the leg, ( big folds looked horrible ) then you make sure the place the boots come up , is about an inch higher than the pants leg, that way they do blouse out a bit , after you lace up the boot it is hard to explain, but we did it that way during basic at fort jackson, until we were allowed to use the blousing rubbers, good luck hope this helps you Answer 2blousing is much better, but if you must tuck them in, try this: Put your boots on but leave the laces really loose. Tuck the bottom of your pant legs down until they are a little bit above your ankle bone With both hands, pull them tightly against the front of your leg, pulling most of the pant material to the back. While keeping the front pulled kind of tight, fold the extra material in the back to the side Tie boots It takes a little practice to get it just right. At first, it might look like crap, but with a little work, you'll get it right. Answer 3when i was in the military, we didn't "tuck" our pants in. We used what were called "boot bands". they were elastic bands with hooks on the ends that went around the top of the bot and then the bottom of the pants were tucked around the band so the band was inside the bottom of the pants. Answer 4In the Marines they use boot blouses. kinda like rubber bands but their more stretchy thread. Put the boot blouse right under the lace and roll the extra end of the pants till its about 3 or 2 inches under the lace then tuck in the boot blouse. Answer 5It depends on which branch you are in. The Navy & Marines do it different from the Army. It's hard to explain but the way the sea services do it, the boot top isn't seen the pant's leg kinda folds over it. Bloushing bands are the way to go though Answer 6Now you will never see me on TV as a fashion critic, but I feel that if you tuck your pants into your boots, and your not in the military, it's just another way of saying "No sex for me, thank you!" Answer 7We don't tuck in boots, we "blouse" our trousers, only uneducated wanna be GIs will tuck them in! Don't want crap getting into our boots! Answer 8I never did do that cause I thought it looked sloppy. I used boot blousers, there like .50 at AAFES. When I lose them I'd use a rubber band just until I can buy them. Looks a lot better!! Answer 9both the answers above are correct... here is a picture:
